Halloween is always a treat for every kid.

Parker was incredibly excited about the days events.

He was excited about the party at school and being allowed to wear his costume.

He was excited about trick-or-treating at my work, and at night with Stryder.

He ran so fast between every house I couldn't believe he had the energy to

keep going, and he hadn't even had candy yet.

Fo Co Road Trip

moved out there about 6 months ago.

So a group of us, (Erin, Austin, Justin, and me) took

a road trip to visit him. So much fun, great little

college town, everything Logan could be :)

NYC Career Acceleration Trips!

I also organized a trip for finance and marketing students to NYC. We went to Bloomberg broadcast, Time Inc., Michael Kors, Shady Records, and Coltrin & Associates. I am super excited about the job opportunities that are available to me out there, it's exciting to think next year I could be anywhere!

Ann (the other faculty lead for the trip, and the women with all the connections), Brittany and I stayed the weekend in NY to play and enjoy the city. What didn't we do? We hit the museums, went dancing, shopping, restaurants, and toured every neighborhood for apartments!

July 24th Skate Competition

Directive Skateboard Competition, July 24th 2011.

Haley and I took the boys, (Parker & Stryder) to watch the

skateboard competition. They both quickly got bored with just watching,

and wanted to skate. Jake came and told us no one was

using the bowl during the competition so they could skate there.

They never got of the bowl until it was time to go. Everyone couldn't believe these two cute little boys skating their little hearts out. Hopefully next year they can compete!!

San Francisco & Seattle

San Francisco & Seattle all in one week.

I organized a student career acceleration trip for Utah State University. We started in San Francisco, where we visited San Francisco 49er's, Google, Pertola Pharmaceuticals, Plug N Play Tech Support, and an old friend, Keira.

After two days we flew to Seattle, where we visited Microsoft, ProjectLine, Seattle Seahawks and Sounders, and the Seattle Chamber of Commerce. Overall the trip was incredibly successful, and we all made a number of contacts for our future networks in our journey of finding "jobs".

In the evening during our free time Brittany and I had the privilege of hanging out with her aunts. Sheri, the aunt that lives in Seattle took us out on her boat and all around the area, which you can kind of see in some of our photos, she even let me drive her boat!

I stayed the weekend with another one of my BFF's Chalene, and how either of us made it the entire weekend with out one photo is beyond me, but we had a great time catching up. I would be all too lucky to land a job in Seattle so I could be closer to her and her adorable family.

Disney Land Day 3.....& 4?

The last day at Disney Land, kind of bitter sweet.

We decided to let Parker decide where we

would go the last day. He wanted to ride his favorite rides,

starting with the Haunted Mansion, Autopia, The Matterhorn,

and Big Thunder Mountain. Next we did some more

exploring in California Adventure. Where Parker

and I went on the Hotel Tower of Terror. Nana wussed

out, so it was the two of us. Parker ended up not

liking the ride, however he had to go on it twice to decide.

Above: Our planes were delayed and the plane from Phoenix to

SLC was eventually canceled at 1am. I am so lucky that Parker fell

asleep around 10:30 and didn't wake up until 5am the next day,

which was perfect because our flight left at 6:20 am. The experience

was less than pleasant, so I don't recommend South West for great

customer service in the event of your flight being canceled or delayed.

I was able to sleep a little on those chairs, Nana slept none!

He then asked if we could go back to Disney Land on Sunday.

Disney Land Day 2

Day 2 started out with a exact plan of attack!

We entered Disney Land to hit the rides

and attractions we missed the day before.

After, we left for a nice quiet lunch at the CheeseCake

Factory, and then headed to the hotel for a swim break.

Next we headed to California Adventure Land to check

out their rides and attractions. It turned out great, I would offer

this advice to anyone, split up your day. You miss the big lines

at the park and at the restaurants for lunch. Plus you get

either pool time or nap time!

This started out great until Parker let go of his floaty

in the deep end, (8ft) causing my mother and I to

make quite the scene rescuing him. Gave poor Nana

a heart attack. I however am semi used to my son scaring

the bejesus out of me :)

Day 2 was great, and splitting the day up was even better.

We decided when we go back next year that's how we will

What's New

So the photos came in backwards because

I am just not the most talented blogger. Here is a blib of what

we have been up to. This is Parker and I putting

up our Christmas tree for the first time,

Parker was better at this than me.

Parker got a snowboard and season pass to Beaver.

He has been so excited about all of it,

I have no doubt he will be pro one day. He is a natural.

I ran the Nike Women's marathon in San Francisco.

I was fortunate enough to run the race

Black Hawk Time

Aunt Mandy was in town last week. She went to campus to visit the ROTC,

her old stomping ground. After telling everyone what she does

now, fly black hawk helicopters, they invited her to watch

the helicopters land by the Hyper Building.

She thought it would be fun to take Parker, so she picked him up from school.

Confusing everyone at school, because it looked like mom, but wasn't

Parker's mom. Anyway here are some of the photos of Parker

Climbing all over the helicopter. He loved it, and continued asking

the pilot if he could go for a ride in it.

BUSINESS WEEK 2010

Monday night we put on a charity concert.

Kalai came and put on a sensational

acoustic set. The concert was free,

Texas Road House sponsored

$1 pulled pork sandwiches. We had over

1500 people show up to old main hill.

Raising $2,500 on Monday night alone.

Tuesday night we had our first annual

"Last Dash Relay"

It was 10 mile relay race. You could run

it as a team of two or solo. So I grabbed all of my favorite

running buddies, and we decided to run the whole thing

solo. It would be great training for San Fransisco.

I was also lucky lucky to have

my sister in town for this event!

We had an awesome turn out for the first year.

We raised over $2,000 with this event!

It was such a fun challenge

and a great introduction

to things I want to do in my career.

This last week was business week for

The Huntsman School of Business.

I am now an intern for our director of marketing.

He is the sole reason we were able to

do what we did with business week this year.

Since I was his intern, I worked very

hard to help business week come alive, and overall we

succeeded amazingly.

Not only did we put on a week full of outstanding

events, we raised over $9,000 for the

Huntsman Cancer Institute.

Nana's Night

Parker spent Tuesday with his Nana and Papa. They took him to buy

New shoes! He was so excited. He picked out these

high top converse all on his own. He thinks he needs

to sleep in them now.

After buying the shoes it was time to ride all the cars

and toys in the mall.

He's such a ham!

After dinner and shoe shopping

it was time to play outside. He has now discovered tree climbing,

which is easier with his new shoes.

He got them very dirty and became quite concerned

with all the scuff's. Papa made sure to wipe them

down with a clorox wipe. Now Parker

asks for a wipe for his shoes every

time he comes inside.

Cookie Cutter

Parker was so excited to get his hair cut.

He went to this salon, Cookie Cutters the week before,

but they didn't have an appointment.

He was so disappointed, I promised we would go back.

He got to pick the car he sat in, the movie to watch, and a balloon

when he was all finished. Plus the whole thing was $10.

Missing NYC

This summer I was given the opportunity to travel with the Huntsman School of Business.

One of the trips was to New York. A city I've dreamt of seeing for years.

We went there to meet with professionals in the finance industry and met with

13 different companies in 3 days. This picture was taken from the top floor of the second most expensive building in Manhattan, which is occupied by MacKay Shields a division of New York Life. It obviously over looks Central Park, which was an amazing view in person.

I was just viewing my photos from this trip and longing for another one.

Hopefully I'll get back to New York soon.

Cassie: October 1996- July 2010

Cassie was my little dog.....

I just had to have her, no other little dog would do....
I was 13, and wanted to give her all the love in the world...

When we brought her home, she could fit into the palm of my hands...

She was sweet and spunky and everything I could have asked for...

Sometimes I wasn't always good to her, so I am thank full my mother was....

I took for granted, and she will be forever missed....

She wasn't the smartest or the fastest, but I loved her non the less.....

Catching Up

It has been six months since my last post. So here is to catching up on the family journal.

Our lives have been pretty crazy recently.

I finished spring semester, which almost killed me. I took 7 classes (3 more than full time). So glad I did it, I will now graduate next spring!!!!!!

Billy turned 33, but is going on about 22. Any progress is good progress right! He also recently started a new job!!!! Working for C.F.M. Which has been amazing!

Parker is of course going a million miles an hour. He has grown so close with his friends lately he asks for them daily. He has been skateboarding and swimming as much as possible.

He also has a new pet, Patrick (the hamster). Thank you Megan we love him.

So for Billy's birthday and my spring break we headed to Vegas! We went with some of our best friends Kollin and Ashley. The trip was so much fun, but we had a rough start. First we got a speeding ticket, which was a given. Next just outside of St. George, our transmission pan broke. So two hours of making phone calls, and googling on our trusted black berry's we were towed and on our way. It was a nice little break from reality. So here are some of the photos.

Parker had his 4th birthday party! He was so excited about all of it, he couldn't even stand it. He continued to think it was his birthday the rest of the week. We had to convince him all of the presents under the tree were for Christmas and not his birthday.

Me..Haylee..Sheena.

We made a good team. Even though we were a man short. This race was dedicated to the one we left behind.....Meg, my training buddy all summer long. I could not have made it this far with out her. Rain, shine, or sleet we ran almost every stinkin morning. I think I ran her into the ground.

Aside from loosing my fav running buddy, the race was a lot of fun.

It was our second year doing it and great preparation for the full marathon and the half in Maui. Hayley and I will be in Utah running the TOU marathon while Megan and Sheena will be in Maui running a half. But even with an ocean between us four we will be rooting for one another.

My second favorite part of the race is our "fans"!!! They follow us everywhere and show great support. Though there are many to account for the ones that meant the most our, Megan and John, Klint and Kyndra and my personal fav's Parker and Billy.

This is my husband a week and a half before our wedding. I wasn't thrilled about him playing softball, but he insisted. So like a good wife should be, I was supportive. He called me two hours later to ask about my study group for the night. With curiosity and slight annoyance, I asked why? He responded, I broke my nose...........

He not only broke his nose, he shattered it. With the possibility of having a plate put in his face. As if plates in both ankles and one his wrist wasn't enough.......

B-Day Celebration

It was my mom's birthday Wed. June 17. To Celebrate we played hookie on Mon.

We started the day with a fantastic 6mile run. Got fancied up and went shopping,

followed by a fabulous ladies lunch at Le Nonne. Next off to her house

for some wine and chit chat. It turned out to be a great day.

To round out her fabulous birthday, she took Friday off to be pampered

thanks to her hubby. She had a facial and a massage.

Wedding Planning

As some of you know I am planning a wedding this summer. I'm sure you are now wondering either, whose wedding or aren't you already married. Well, yes it's my wedding, and yes we have been married for over 3years. However, we didn't have a wedding we got married at the court house. So now I want to have it all, the white dress, the party and all that jazz. So we are on our way. I would show pictures but that would involve giving my dress away to Billy and seeing how he thinks that's bad luck, yes even though we are married. I'll just settle for telling about it.

So we have our date Sept 12. ( Mark your calenders). We have the dress, the dinner menu's, the band, wedding party and colors. We just picked the wedding invitations yesterday, now we are finalizing the guest list. Which is a task, considering Billy can't remember all 60 names of his cousins and their spouses. Not a problem for me I have two cousins. So we are on our way to having the wedding I always dreamed of.

For everyone who has planned a wedding by themselves, Kudos.... I had no idea! all the details that go unoticed, unless you've planned a wedding before. So thanks to my maid of honor Kate for helping me every day and never getting tired of talking wedding stuff. Here is to Christina who hates this stuff and continues to be supportive and buy bridal magazines. Thanks to Megan for responding to ALL of my emails with color's, flower's, dresses, shoes etc.... your opinion has been priceless!

Easter!

Easter was so much fun this year. Parker really got into the "hunt" of it all. He had two easter egg hunt's. One at our house and this one at Nana and Papa's house. He enjoyed all the candy and bubbles, while we enjoyed our easter feast!

Cha Cha's Baby shower

One of my dearest friends is finally pregnant!!!!! Chalene was finally in town from Seattle and we got the chance to throw her a suprise shower. She was so excited, and suprised. I couldn't believe we pulled it off in a matter of hour's. She got some great gifts and was glowing the entire time.

Just some fun random photos of our trip. The last photo was taken before Billy and I ran our first race together. Holland cruise line started on the deck for the cure. A 5k race for cancer. Any passenger can donate 15$ to go towards breast cancer research and get a t-shirt and a chance to participate the run/walk race. Most everyone chose to walk except Billy and I, so of course we won. Not that it mattered but, it will probably be the only race I win in my life. Plus Yeah for billy for running right?

Senior Frogs

The highlight of every one's cruise was Senior Frogs. You sit down and immediately you have a balloon hat placed on your head. Because what could be better than over drinking with an over sized ridiculous balloon creature on your head. As you can tell by the yard sized cocktails in front of us, we had a good time. I even got a video of my dad dancing, ( which he is offering large amounts of money to get his hands on.) Aside from the festive club, San Juan Puerto Rico was more beautiful than I had any idea. If anyone gets a chance to go, don't pass. It is a beautiful historic city. Plus they have the largest Bacardi Rum factory in the world. Which we toured, and received free sample cocktails before Senior Frogs.

Ray Lamontagne

I only wish we had pictures of Ray. Well Kate got a picture, but it turned out to be more like a dot of light around black. This turned out to be such a fun girls night. Three of the pictures are taken at dinner. We ate at Market Street Grill down in SLC. Kate's little brother, Seth cooks there and was able to come out and keep us company. The food was unbelievable and the company was even better. As you can see there were mirrors behind us at the restaurant but we powered through. Anyway, the concert was great, anyone who hasn't listened to him should. Great voice and great music. We stayed over at Seth's house. He and his roomates turned out to be wonderful entertainment. Thanks for lettling us stay guy's. Here's to a great Girls Night Out.

Parker Crawled into the window seal, which is not wide enough to be a seat. Then preceded to pose. So I grabbed the camera. As soon as he saw it, he cheered, "CHEESE" all while changing pose's inbetween each snap. They turned out cute even though I know nothing of using a flash on a digital camera.

Moon Dog Ball

This fun and special charity ball is a must event. Not only do you get to get dressed up with your best friends for a night on the town but you are supporting an important organization. Four paws is a wonderful rescue society and I was glad to be able to contribute. I just wish I had taken my camera to the event so I could share with you how beautiful the country club was decorated and how wonderful the band looked. I encourage anyone who is interested to get involved next year and joins us.

Here is Billy and I all dressed up, see our adorable little sitter behind us. There is no one better than Blair, she is fantastic. Up in the right corner is Christina, Kate, Me, Dionna and Sharon. All of us got ready together, how we made it out of the house in one piece, all our hair and makeup done, I'll never know. But we looked good.

Road Runners:

Today I ran my first half marathon. It started with a fun girls night out. I took Megan and Sheena to Le Nonne. It was there first time. We decided to load up on carbs the night before the race, plus it was a great excuse to have a girls night.

In the corner up there is all of us freezing. We had just been dropped off at the beginning of the race. We all look so pretty still, pre sweat and all. There is Katie, Sheena, Megan, Me and Brooke.
